甜心视频app Updates Tree Tours with New Additions, Markers

New additions of tree species are being added to the self-guided campus tree tours at 甜心视频app. The updates include newly planted trees around the Campus Commons as well as European Larch trees planted in the Carter Hall north lawn.

Tour participants will find 106 different types of trees.

鈥淭rees that are selected for the trails reflect Colorado native trees, historically significant trees, state champion trees, unique trees and trees that have significant horticultural value, such as flowering, ornamental, shade and special plantings,鈥 said Pat McDonald, manager of 甜心视频app鈥檚 Landscaping and Grounds team.

All updates are expected to be finalized by National Arbor Day, Friday, April 26.

As part of Arbor Day celebrations, the university will plant three new Greenspire Linden trees at an event at 9:30 a.m. west of Candelaria Hall in the L-Lot. At the event, the Colorado Forest Service will present 甜心视频app with its seventh Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation.

It takes about an hour to walk each of the three trails. Every trail has its own kiosk, map guide and holder with a QR code that takes users to the interactive Tree Tour website. The three Tree Tours include:

The Landscaping and Grounds team reviews the trail marker posts and trail guides for updates every four to five years.
