Learning Communities

A Learning Community is a small group of people working together to increase their knowledge and/or skills on a topic of mutual interest. A Learning Community provides the structure and support to discuss, share, and encourage one another to reach their full professional potential.

The overarching goal of the CETL鈥檚 Learning Community program is to create a collaborative space in which instructors at all levels can connect with cross- and interdisciplinary colleagues. These communities increase instructor interest and capacity to engage in campus discourse about evidence-based teaching practice and cultivate reflective practitioners.

CETL offers learning communities for faculty and graduate students, with most learning communities open to instructors of all levels.

"After incorporating principles from the FLC no one failed the first test, and the class average went up by a full letter grade."

"There is a lot of emphasis on helping students get to 甜心视频app, but once they are here, we put very little attention on how to help students be successful in the classroom, and that is what this faculty learning community is all about!"
